The study employed a case study research design to investigate health and safety considerations for effective job performance of National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO) personnel in the Bono Region of Ghana. The objectives of the study were: to assess the capacity of NADMO in the health and safety interventions, describe employee health safety interventions to NADMO and, Examine the challenges of employee health and safety interventions The target population for the study was the entire staff of the Sunyani East Municipal Office, Sunyani West Office, and Berekum Municipal Office of NADMO, totaling 127 out of which 72 were selected for the study. The study found that NADMO has structures for its operation, including a headquarters, regional secretariats, and district offices. The study also found that NADMO personnel are responsible for organizing simulation exercises, investigating reports, and analyzing the nature of hazards, vulnerability, and risk situations in particular areas. The study identified the strengths and weaknesses of the case study research design and ensured that all ethical issues concerning confidentiality and anonymity of participants were adhered to. The findings of the study suggest that NADMO should organize seminars on health and safety issues and improve management relations in situations of fatal accidents and compensation. The study provides valuable insights into the occupational health and safety practices of NADMO personnel and highlights the need for further research in this area. Overall, The study recommends that NADMO management should develop an effective health and safety policy and ensure its effective implementation in the office. This will help to reduce risks, accidents, and disasters in the workplace and reduce costs related to the hazardous work environment at NADMO offices.
